About
Canelado
Canelado is a small-batch pastry house creating original pastries rooted in the sweets, flavors, and memories of a Brazilian childhood.
Created by pastry chef Sarah Moraes, Canelado follows Sweet Sarah Artisan Confectionery, which began online and later operated as a pastry shop on Bank Street in New Milford, Connecticut, from 2011-2015. The older store reviews preserved on this site were written by Sweet Sarah customers and belong to that earlier chapter.
Canelado begins a new chapter of original pastry and confectionery. Familiar forms are reimagined, and new ones emerge. Flavor, texture, and pleasure lead.
Selected press coverage of Sarah Moraes’s earlier pastry work.
